OUR TRADITION.
OUR GRAND COMEBACK.
CILO has a long history; the brand, which became famous for its racing bikes, has been around for almost 100 years.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Founded in 1927 in the picturesque village of Romanel-sur-Lausanne, CILO represents Swiss precision, craftsmanship, and innovation. The name comes from the founder, Charles Jean Lausanne Oron, with the "J" replaced by an "I" for French pronunciation. CILO focused on racing bicycles, standing out for their high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, becoming the preferred choice for ambitious cyclists and professionals.

SUCCESSES IN PROFESSIONAL CYCLING
The brand supported renowned cycling teams and it was a loyal companion in numerous international competitions, including the Tour de Suisse and the Tour de France. With frames made from high-quality materials, such as the lightweight Reynolds 753 tubes, CILO set standards in terms of weight and stability. Every CILO bicycle was custom-built to meet the high demands of cyclists. In 1946, Swiss cyclist Hans Knecht won the Road World Championship in Zurich with a CILO, claiming his third Swiss road champion title. Beat Breu won the legendary stage at Alpe d’Huez in the 1982 Tour de France with a CILO, as well as the Tour de Suisse. In the 1970s and 1980s, CILO gained cult status, especially among road cyclists in Switzerland.

TRADITION AND INNOVATION
Even today, CILO racing bicycles are highly regarded, not only as collector’s items but also as symbols of Swiss craftsmanship and tradition. We want to carry on this tradition, setting new standards in the off-road sector as well. It's our determination to be the best: just as we don’t stop halfway, we work on our e-bikes until everything works perfectly. Our e-mountain bikes represent the pinnacle of Swiss engineering, combining traditional knowledge with cutting-edge technology. Precise functions, innovative technologies, high-quality materials: our bicycles are solid, reliable, and aesthetic.
